Note to Presenters
Please use the "find" (usually control-f) function on your computer
program to find your own name. We have accommodated requested time
constraints. If you find any errors or conflicts in the preliminary
program, or learn you are unable to attend, please send email to Steven
Arnold.
If you have not yet, please do register either on-line or at the conference. You will receive a printed program at the conference. The program on the web has just been updated. Changes made to the program after May 15 will be printed in the addendum.
We ask that you bring 20 copies of your conference paper (e.g., power point handouts, a long abstract, or a draft manuscript are fine) to the book exhibit room, which will be staffed 8:00 to 16:00 daily, as soon as you reasonably can. ISPP appreciates your contribution to the intellectual and financial vitality of our society.
If you would like to meet scholars with common interests, stop by our "Birds of a Feather" table in the lobby and make a sign to attract interested scholars to form an informal lunch group. Pre-tenured scholars should be sure to take advantage of the hospitality and mentoring opportunities provided by the junior scholars committee.
We hope you will enjoy our new "Hot Books" discussions this year as well as the book exhibit.
For those giving posters:
If you are giving a poster, we will provide boards about three feet (about 1 meter) tall and four feet (1.3 m) wide that stand on tables, plus push-pins and glue. You can put up your poster on one of these boards soon after arrival and leave it on exhibit in the book exhibit room during the entire conference; someone will be monitoring the room. We hope you can be in the room during the morning of the last day as scheduled to talk with interested scholars about your work.
For speakers:
We have done our best to accommodate everyone’s audiovisual needs
within the budget for the conference. Speakers, please check whether the
equipment you need for your presentations has been scheduled correctly.
First, check what room your talks are in on the program.
Then check the listings of audiovisual equipment by room, day, and time
in the
AV SUMMARY, updated 6/29/05 (click here).
NOTE: In this document, LCD means liquid crystal display projector
and OH means overhead (transparency) projector. Slide means
2” x 2” photographic-style slides.
If the equipment we have planned is
not what you need, please notify Felicia Pratto by Monday, June 27 and
include your session number. We will not be able to switch audio-visual
equipment around during the conference. (You may bring your own if so inclined).
Presenters who are planning to use LCD projectors for DVD presentations or for
PowerPoint or other computer-run presentations need to bring a computer with them
with appropriate software. Presenters do NOT need to bring output cables for LCD projectors.
(For more information about electricity conversion see:
http://kropla.com/electric2.htm)
We suggest you coordinate with your session chair about loading all the
talks onto one computer before the designated time.
This could minimize how many laptops must be carried and leave the most
time for the talks during your session.
If an emergency concerning your participation arises after June 30,
please contact the Wayneflete Group
or telephone Felicia Pratto at the Park Hyatt.
We are looking forward to meeting you and we are excited to see your presentations.
We are sure you agree that political psychology has never been less important
than in our current world and we applaud your making the effort to contribute
your time, ideas, and spirit to our conference and organization.
