Psychology Program

The Universidad de Monterrey (UDEM) invites nominations and applications for the position of Full Time Tenure Track Professor for the Psychology Program.
UDEM is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The Universidad de Monterrey is a private institution, founded in 1969, located in San Pedro Garza García, N.L., México;
which has one of the highest indexes of human development nationwide
and the major per capita income in the country. The UDEM offers 35 baccalaureate, 15 master’s degrees and 39 medical specialties. The UDEM is
a pioneer in Mexico in offering the Personal Plan of Formation which is capable of promoting the maximum strengthening of the talents and capacities of each one of its students. It is the only Mexican university that
belongs to the Consultative International Council for the Integral Formation,
whose other members include the universities of Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Cornell and UC Berkeley. Psychology at UDEM holds the accreditation of the National Council for Teaching and Research in Psychology (CNEIP, Mexico), as one of the 10 percent of the Quality Programs accredited nationwide (http://cneip.org);
Its practicum in Clinical, Educational and Organizational Psychology
is entirely supported by private institutions of local and/or international recognition.

Minimum requirements:
•Ph.D in Psychology
•Four years of teaching experience in undergraduate or graduate psychology programs
•English and Spanish languages required; a third language is
appreciated.
•Previous professional experience in research and/or consulting
activities. A history of success in obtaining external funding will be highly appreciated.
•Interest in teaching research and consultancy as a professional development
Responsibilities:
•Teaching and academic support for students
•Developing research in psychology and/or consultancy projects in psychology field
•Teaching psychology courses in bachelor and/or graduate level programs
•Advising students
Qualifications:
•Educational skill to communicate to students the knowledge,
motivation and passion for psychology
•Excellent attitude and self-motivation for constant improvement
•International perspective of psychology discipline
•Proactive work style and vision for the future
Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and
