Marco Steenbergen: “I hail originally from the Netherlands. I earned a MA in political methodology from the University of Amsterdam and a PhD from Stony Brook University with a concentration in political psychology. I was an assistant professor at Carnegie Mellon University and an assistant and associate professor at UNC Chapel Hill. In 2007, I moved to Switzerland, assuming a chair in political sociology and political psychology at the University of Bern. My research has focused on public opinion, electoral behavior, and quantitative methods. I am currently working in the areas of ambivalence, deliberation, values, and political leadership.”
