I am now an Assistant Professor of Political Science at San Jose State University in San Jose, California. My research interests focus on political identity and its influence on political attitudes and behavior; I have also published articles on social capital, service learning, and public opinion polling. I have been an active member of ISPP since 1998, and have served on the ISPP Junior Scholars Committee as newsletter editor, publishing workshop coordinator, and most recently as JSC Chair (2006-07)."
