Melinda Jackson
"I earned my Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Minnesota in 2005,
with a. Minor in Political Psychology. I am now an Assistant Professor of
Political Science at San Jose State University in San Jose, California. My
research interests focus on political identity and its influence on political
attitudes and behavior; I have also published articles on social capital,
service learning, and public opinion polling. I have been an active member of
ISPP since 1998, and have served on the ISPP Junior Scholars Committee as
newsletter editor, publishing workshop coordinator, and most recently as JSC
Chair (2006-07)."
