Klaus Wasmund, Dr.rer. pol., is Professor of Political Science at the University of Technology and Science in Berlin. He majored in Political Science and Psychology. His focus of research and his publications are in the field of political socialization, political propaganda and persuasion, mass media and political iconography. He is an active member of ISPP since the Mannheim meeting in 1982.He served the ISPP in several positions, including chairman of the Sanford Award Committee and member of the Erik Erikson Award Committee. If elected, his primary goal will be to increase the participation of our colleagues in Eastern European countries in the ISPP.
