ISPP Elected Officers 2006

Member of Governing Council
(three-year term, beginning July 2006)

Allyson Holbrook

Allyson Holbrook is an assistant professor of public administration and psychology at the University of Illinois at Chicago (Ph.D. in social psychology from the Ohio State University). Her research interests include attitudes and attitude change particularly in the context of electoral politics and political issues (e.g., capital punishment, global warming), as well as methodological research focusing on questionnaire design and the administration of surveys and their implications for data quality. She has published articles and chapters in both these substantive and methodological areas. She also works with the Survey Research Laboratory at the University of Illinois at Chicago as a methodological expert to conduct high-quality survey research (face-to-face, telephone, mail and web) in collaboration with faculty, government institutions, and businesses. "I think that ISPP should continue to increase its visibility (and the visibility of Political Psychology) especially outside the U.S. and continue its efforts to attract and involve young scholars in the field."
